The end of summer is so near. I have to say I'm glad. I'm so over the 90+ degree temps and dry desert like weather. Here are a few things that happened recently....
1. I finally went to a Knights game in the stadium downtown. I was one of the people that didn't want them to move from Fort Mill. But I am over my boycott and I enjoyed the game on a very beautiful night this week. And the Knights won! Oh, I almost got a T-shirt from the thingy that shoots them out but Tom didn't have enough fight in him to grab it. Boo to the guy who came over in our section to steal it.
2. Our driveway was long overdue on a pressure washing cleaning. Wow, what a difference. I didn't realize how dirty it was.
3. Anyone from Charlotte recognize what's missing in the water slide picture? Thunder Road roller coaster is gone. Sad. I really enjoyed many a thrilling ride on the old wooden coaster. But I have kinda out grown rides at all. That's so sad to me as I write this. Maybe I will have to rethink the new coaster Fury.... NOT! Just watching it gives me a fright.
4. Running has been a big part of my life the past two years. I have not run that much this summer...TOO HOT and MUGGY, CAN'T BREATHE!! But with the little bit of coolness lately and a couple new running tops, I feel motivated. Mind over Matter, yes somewhat but Matter does matter somewhat. (like to run when it's not 90.)
5. Tom and I sat outside on the patio for coffee this morning. It felt like Fall. I am so ready for it for many reasons. Stay tuned for those reasons.
6. God is everywhere. Take time to slow down and look for Him.
