HEADLINE: Minnesota farmers daughter moves to big southern city and meets Buffalo's bad boy working in a grocery store together. God ignited a flame of love for Him in the girl and she had to share it with the sorta mean tall redhead boy. He really liked the story of God's love and forgiveness and got to know Jesus personally. He became a sweet, loving man. He asked the girl if she would marry him, she said yes, and they lived happily ever after.

I would never have thought my life could be so blessed with this man. Tom is the man of my dreams. Even the ugly parts of our life I'm thankful for. Tom has taken care of our family so well. He was and still is a fun dad who makes memories with our girls sons-in-law and grandkids. He is a family man. He is a gift giver. Oh, the beautiful gifts he would give to me. Not so much things, but experiences. We both love to travel to new places and we have been blessed to go many places together. For every BIG anniversary the 5's we made it a point to go somewhere special except #5. I think I may have been delirious tired from having 2 little kids so I don't remember it. Year #10 Charleston. Year#15 Cancun Year #20 Hawaii Year#25 Caribbean Cruise Year #30 Turkey and Greece. So we are now planning our year#35......We are going to the Esmeralda Inn in Lake Lure/Chimney Rock. After our trip to Africa in January it was too soon to plan a huge trip this anniversary so we are opting for a long weekend getaway. I know we'll enjoy it.
Tom loves Jesus and that makes him so attractive to me. When I see him pray for someone or want to give to help a person in need he becomes so beautiful. He is my prince. I know that there are many who have better marriages or more exciting stories of romance than us but this is OUR story. I love this man God gave me. We have grown more in love in the past years as we have aged and gone through trials. I can't imagine my life without him. He blesses my heart when he prays with me, when he teaches the Bible, and when he preaches the Word in Sunday school, prison or in a foreign land. I am thankful for my love story. I don't ever want to take it for granted.
Happy 35 years and counting to the man of my dreams. Here's to many many more together. I feel like we're living the dream.
