Being a grandparent is such a blessing. Tom and I had the fun of being with our youngest grandson Gideon this weekend. Our daughter Emily and her husband Taylor came to Charlotte and went out for their anniversary Thursday night. (We got to keep G) Taylor was performing a wedding of a friend on Saturday so they were at rehearsal Friday night. ( We got to keep G) And the wedding Saturday night. ( We got to keep G) What a fun time we had with him. He is 20 months old and he was SO good all weekend. He is funny and loving and just makes us smile. This weekend we made a build a bear which we have done for all our grand kids around his age. He choose a black bear and named him Peanut! It's so cute to hear him talk to Peanut. I think he is gonna love this bear for awhile.
He and Papa swam in his giraffe pool that we thought was a horse. He played with his aunt in the pool too. Alisha pointed out that it was a giraffe, oh well what do we know.
We played at the park playground. The boy likes to go down slides now.
He watched football with his Papa and talked about it the moment he woke up in the morning. He played a little football with his Papa too. It was fun, fun, fun.
We have a little lawn mower that sounds real, and G decided he really liked it this time. When our neighbor started mowing he wanted to mow too. Oh how cute.
He is so excited about everything. He loves sports. He loves music. He loves people. He loves Sweet Frog raspberry sorbet. And we love him. When he left yesterday our house felt so empty. I had to eat these.....
even that didn't help much. Missing all my grand kids.
