The weather has been beautiful here in the south. A mix of warm sunshine, storms, and a gentle breeze to bring a breath of deliciousness to my senses. Blooming flowers, green freshly mown grass, birds singing and picnics. Hope abounds this time of year for me. Growing up in Minnesota created in me a thankful heart for spring. Winter can be long and oh so cold and dark in the north. Spring brings me joy. I love to have my windows open inviting the outdoor pleasure to join me inside. However, I do get sad when it gets so hot here that we have to close the windows and blow the air conditioning. Don't misunderstand me,I do appreciate the coolness when the heat index is 100, but it still makes me feel trapped. I told Tom the other day that if I lived alone I would probably never turn on the air conditioning. He just looked at me like I was crazy. Summer is certainly on it's way but for now, it's still S-P-R-I-N-G!!! And I am thankful for seasons.
Stawberry picking at Halls Family Farms.
We had fun with our friends the Kendricks at dinner the other night at Trio. If you have never been there it is wonderful food, not too pricey and Oh this dessert is to die for. Try it! (Almond Basket!) It's not too heavy after a meal. Just perfect! Isn't it beautiful?
I read a really good book this month. Love Does by Bob Goff. It has inspiring stories that made me laugh and encouraged me to put love into action .
That's all, hope your spring is happy!
