Special moments

I am sure it is quite clear by now that my family is super important to me. Mainly because most of my posts are about them.....hmmm  yeah.   We had a fun weekend celebrating Alisha and my birthday.  Emily and Gideon drove up from SC and spent the weekend with us.  The girls had a fun painting night while Tom and Gideon had a boys night.  I don't know all that happened because Gideon won't tell.  Tom won't tell either.  I do know this, they had fun. Tom mentioned several times how good G was and how much fun he had with him.   Tom has enjoyed that little boy so much.  He is a joy to be around.  Anyhow, I think those little moments are times that will never be forgotten even when he is a grown man and has a family of his own.  sigh
Life, it is so amazing.  While you are in the moment you don't always realize that the moment is so special until it is over.  This weekend was a special time. Chili dinner, Tom reading a special book to Alisha that he bought for her for her birthday. The girls going to a place called Painting with a Twist. ( Everyone in the class paints the same picture the instructor demonstrates.)  It is soooo much fun.  I loved the laughter we shared.  I only wish Sheila could have been with us.  A definite future date when she is home.
On Saturday we ate lunch together, bought SAS cupcakes. Drank coffee, sang happy birthday.  Went to dinner at  The Clocktower. It was really good.  I love trying new places.  It feels like an adventure. All in all it was a really good weekend full of adventure and laughter and lots and lots of love.
