I love a rainy day every once in awhile.  We have had a very rainy summer this year which is strange for North Carolina.  A lot of people have been upset about it, but I have loved it.  It was cooler this summer and every thing is green, instead of brown.  Yesterday, in mid August, it was in the 60's and rainy.  Weather like that cause Tom and I to do rainy day things. One of our daughters had the day before told us of a new consignment place she went. She thought we would love to go there, sooooo we adventured out and found it.  It was overwhelming and amazing all in one!  So many things to look at.  Normally I get a headache when I go to places like this where there is so much to see. I think I am going to miss something, thus I get over stimulated and I get a headache. Not too bad this time.

In one of the booths I found my old lunchbox from elementary days.  Don't ask me why my mom bought me this one.  It is a boys lunch box if I ever saw one.  But it was mine throughout my school days.  I wish I had saved it because this one had a price tag of $175 or something crazy like that.

Another thing I love to look at is furniture.  I am always seeing cute pieces that I would love to put in my house.  I love the character of antique furniture.  This dresser was almost mine but decided not to indulge.  Maybe next time.

I love inspirational sayings.  When I see one and there is sweet music playing in the background I am encouraged.  I have to remind myself that I don't need to buy everything that does that to me.

We had a wonderful time at The Depot.  We ate lunch there which was surprisingly good and affordable. We  ended up spending about $23.00 for our purchases.  We bought a cool old window which is going to be a project.  I will post later about it.  All in all it was a great rainy day trip.  Check it out sometime if you are in the area.
